Adel and Hortensia (My Family)

Today, two reminders of how precious family is, how delicate and yet how strong, including even the simple moments that we sometimes take for granted. Makes me want to take my son to the playground right now!!

My Family

Four months ago I lost my older brother at 65 years old. He died from a massive stroke. He is the only brother to live with me in the U.S.A.. He is married and has three children – two boys and one girl – and he has a wife who is 58 years old. For me, he is the only family I have in America – I always depend on him for bigger problems I had in the past. Now I am alone in America again. Thank God I feel okay and calm.

I have another four brothers in my country Egypt and one of them came to America to visit me – and his daughter in NY. He came to Philadelphia to visit me too – I had a very good time with him and he supported me emotionally.

Now his wife is with him in NY. and she has some medical problems in her heart and she needs a heart operation. I pray to God for her to be good and in better health.

Last weekend my niece and I played in the park with her 3 children: one 8 year old, one 4 year old and one 1 year old baby. We enjoyed the playground and eating lunch in the park. It was a beautiful day for Mother’s Day. We’re happy together, my family. God Bless.
